(ANSA) - MOSCOW - A portrait of Vladimir Putin made up of
5,000 casings of bullets fired in the Donbass conflict. This is
''The face of war'', an art work created by Ukraine's Daria
Marchenko and featured in an exhibition at the Greter gallery in
Kiev that will be touring, starting next September, in various
European cities, including Berlin.
The artist explained that her mosaic made up of bullet
casings is 'the first in a series of five works focusing on war:
the Face of War will be followed by the Brain of War, the Heart
of War, and the Spirit of War.
Ukraine and the Western countries accused Russia of giving
military support to separatist militants in the Donbass region,
supplying weapons and men in a conflict in which more than 6,500
people died. Much more numerous than the bullet casings used by
Marchenko to create her portrait of Putin. (ANSA).
